ALPFA Scholarship Program
The Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA) offers scholarships to students pursuing studies in accounting, finance, IT or a related field.
Application Deadline: April 15th, 2008*
* To accommodate certain schools' spring schedules, we have agreed to extend the deadline to April 15th, 2008.
Total Scholarship Funds: $150,000
Amount of Each Scholarship: Average award: $1,250 - $1,500
Limited scholarship awards for top candidates up to $10,000*
* Please note that the top 50 students selected will be invited to attend ALPFA's National Convention in Pheonix, Arizona (August 10-14, 2008) with all expenses paid for.
- Must be Hispanic or of Hispanic descent
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in the United States or Puerto Rico
- Must be studying at an accredited university in the U.S. or Puerto Rico for the upcoming academic year
- Must be (or plan to be) enrolled full-time for the upcoming academic year 2008-2009
- Must have earned and maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average of no less than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Student must demonstrate financial need
- Must be pursuing a undergraduate or master's degree in business, finance or accounting.

- Official transcript - Postmarked by April 15th
- Proof of family income - Postmarked by April 15th
- Proof of citizenship status - Postmarked by April 15th
- Essay - Submitted online by April 15th
- Letter of Recommendation - Submitted online by April 15th
- Resume - Submitted online by April 15th
- Financial Aid verification (if chosen as semi finalist only) - Submitted online by June 30th
