Verizon Scholarship Program

 

Application Deadline: March 15th, 2009
Amount of Each Scholarship: $500-$5,000

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be of Hispanic background
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in the United States or Puerto Rico
  • Must be studying at an accredited university in the U.S. or Puerto Rico for the upcoming academic year
  • Must be (or plan to be) enrolled full-time as an undergraduate student for the upcoming academic year 2009-2010
  • Must have earned and maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average of no less than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Student must demonstrate financial need 
  • Must be pursuing a degree in business administration, finance, accounting, computer science, computer engineering or information technology.

Required Documents:

  • Official transcript- Postmarked by March 15th
  • Proof of family income- Postmarked by March 15th
  • Proof of citizenship status- Postmarked by March 15th
  • Essay- Submitted online by March 15th
  • Letter of Recommendation- Submitted online by March 15th
  • Resume- Submitted online by March 15th
  • Financial Aid verification (if chosen as semi-finalist only)- Submitted online by your financial aid counselor by June 30th.
