Ford Blue Oval Scholarship Program

         


The Ford Motor Company Fund's Ford Blue Oval Program supports Hispanic undergraduate students in the Phoenix and Miami area.

Application Deadline: March 15th, 2009

Amount of Each Scholarship: $500-$5,000

Eligibility Criteria for students in Phoenix:

  • Must be of Hispanic background.
  • Must have a permanent address in the Phoenix, Arizona region.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident.
  • Must be accepted or plan to enroll in a college, university or technical school in the U.S. or Puerto Rico in September 2009.
  • Must be (or plan to be) enrolled full-time as an undergraduate student for the 2009-2010 academic year.
  •  Must have earned and maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average of no less than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Must demonstrate financial need.

Eligibility Criteria for students in Miami:

  • Must be of Hispanic background.
  • Must reside in the Miami, Florida area.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident.
  • Must be accepted or plan to enroll in a college, university or technical school in Miami, Florida in September 2009.
  • Must be (or plan to be) enrolled full-time as an undergraduate student for the 2009-2010 academic year.
  •  Must have earned and maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average of no less than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Must be pursuing a degree related to the automotive industry, including business, science, technology, math, and engineering.
  • Must demonstrate financial need.

Required Documents:

  • Official transcript - Postmarked by March 15th
  • Proof of family income - Postmarked by March 15th
  • Proof of citizenship status - Postmarked by March 15th
  • Essay - Submitted online by March 15th
  • Letter of Recommendation - Submitted online by March 15th
  • Resume - Submitted online by March 15th
  • Financial Aid verification (if chosen as semi finalist only) - Submitted online by June 30th
