Denny’s Single Parent Student Scholarship

 


The program will provide financial need-based scholarships to single parent students. In addition to the awarded scholarship Denny’s will also provide each recipient with a Kids Eat Free coupon.

Application Deadline: February 16th, 2010
Amount of Each Scholarship: $500-$1,500


Eligibility:
•Must be of Hispanic background.
•Must be a U.S. citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident.
•Must be accepted or plan to enroll in a college, university or technical school in the U.S. or Puerto Rico for the upcoming academic year.
•Must be (or plan to be) enrolled full-time as an undergraduate student for the upcoming academic year.
•Must have earned and maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average of no less than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
•Must demonstrate financial need.
•Must demonstrate he/she is a single parent.
•Must agree to participate in Program publicity, if requested.


Required Documents:
•Official transcript - Postmarked by February 16th
•Proof of family income - Postmarked by February 16th
•Proof of citizenship status - Postmarked by February 16th
•Copy of child's birth certificate, showing applicant's name as parent- Postmarked by 16th
•Essay - Submitted online by February 16th
•Letter of Recommendation - Submitted online by February 16th
•Resume - Submitted online by February 16th
