Hospitality Majors Application/ Marriott Scholars Program
Application Deadline: February 23rd, 2010
Amount of Each Scholarship: $500-$9,000
Eligibility Criteria:
•Must be of Hispanic background
•Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in the United States or Puerto Rico
•Must be studying at an accredited university in the U.S. or Puerto Rico for the upcoming academic year
•Must be (or plan to be) enrolled full-time as an undergraduate student for the upcoming academic year
•Must have earned and maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average of no less than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
•Must be studying a major that falls under the Hospitality Majors Application
Required Documents:
•Official transcript- Postmarked by February 23rd
•Proof of citizenship status- Postmarked by February 23rd
•Essay- Submitted online by February 23rd
•Letter of Recommendation- Submitted online by February 23rd
•Resume- Submitted online by February 23rd
•Financial Aid verification (if chosen as semi-finalist only)- Submitted online by your financial aid counselor in May

Eligibility Criteria:
•Be of Hispanic/Latino heritage
•Be U.S. citizen or permanent resident residing in the United States or Puerto Rico
•Be an upcoming freshman or sophomore for the 2010-2011 school year
•Plan to enroll as a full-time undergraduate student during the 2010-2011 school year in a hospitality management or culinary program.
•Plan to pursue a degree within the hospitality management, hotel management, culinary, or food beverage field.
•Have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale.
